Description	Novitates Caribaea is a scientific publication of the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural “Prof. Eugenio de Jesús Marcano” devoted to publish original papers in zoology, paleobiology and geology, focused in areas such as: systematic, taxonomy, biogeography, evolution, genetics, molecular biology, embryology, animal behavior and ecology. It is published annually. The Editorial Committee will prioritize papers referring to biodiversity and natural history of Hispaniola Island and the Caribbean region. This journal publish two half-yearly issues and offer immediate free access to its contents.
