Abstract

The taxonomic list of Cuban fossil brachiopods from the National Museum of Natural History of Cuba (MNHNCu) is presented. On the other hand, new localities are reported for three of these invertebrates: Tichosina cf. guppyi Cooper, 1979 (Reserva Florística Manejada Abra del Río Cojímar, Havana), Tichosina insolita Cooper, 1979 (San Antonio del Sur, Guantánamo) and a specimen of the genus Terebratulina d`Orbigny, 1847 (Finca La Guabina, Pinar del Río). In addition, the first report of Tichosina lecta Guppy, 1866 for Cuba is presented. The finding of Tichosina insolita Cooper, 1979, represents the first record for the Miocene of the island. Likewise, the finding of the specimen of the genus Terebratulina d`Orbigny, 1847, represents the first record for the Cretaceous of the province of Pinar del Río.
