First record of the genus Platyscapa Motschoulsky, 1863 (Chalcidoidea: Agaonidae) for the Dominican Republic

Abstract
To confirm the presence of the pollinating wasp of Ficus religiosa in the Dominican Republic, five syconia were collected from four trees located in an equal number of localities in the city of Santo Domingo. The wasp Platyscapa quadraticeps Mayr, 1885 was found in all of them. This finding constitutes the first record of an introduced species of the family Agaonidae for the Dominican Republic and increases the known diversity of this family in Hispaniola to three genera and four species.
