New species of Eusiroides (Amphipoda: Calliopioidea: Pontogeneiidae) from the Gulf of Mexico

Abstract
A new species of deep-sea amphipod of the genus Eusiroides is described. The studied material was collected in localities of the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida strait by the R/V Gerda in 1963. The most relevant differences between the new species and E. monoculoides (Haswell, 1879) and E. yucatanensis McKinney, 1980, the only species of the genus recorded up today from the Caribbean Sea, are also given.
