Abstract

In December 2019, an adult individual of Anolis cybotes presenting kyphosis and scoliosis was found at the wildlife refuge Los Tres Ojos, Santo Domingo Este. Besides the spinal deformities, the animal also showed severe deformities of the tail. This finding represents the first record of kyphoscoliosis in a wild individual of this species, and the first record for the island of Hispaniola.
